Léo Caillard’s work is polymorphic. Passing easily from sculpture to photography, he produced many series which made headlines, notably Hipsters in Stone which dresses antique statues like today’s hipsters. This series was seen in March 2018 at King’s College London during the Classical Now exhibition.
HISTORIA is a retrospective retracing the research of Léo Caillard from 2014 to 2020. The Teodora Galerie focuses this exhibition around a single theme: the notion of time, both in its conceptual form and in its scientific approach. HISTORIA shows the evolution of the material in use, the path of its perception both by the artist and by the viewer.
Léo Caillard is an artist who questions the history of art. In addition to his retrospective at the Teodora Galerie, the artist will exhibit at the Dali Museum, aesthetically echoing Dali’s works and his relationship with antiquity.
